When she became a lawyer in 2006, she started a solo practice dedicated to representing people charged with crimes. She has represented clients in the Denver metro area, western slope region, and out in the eastern plains of Colorado.

In 2016 she was hired by the state public defense agency Colorado Alternate Defense Counsel to serve as the Director of Training and Evaluation. She was responsible for training and evaluating hundreds of trial lawyers and private investigators and helped them become even better advocates in the Courtroom. She has taught numerous seminars regarding the most serious types of criminal defense cases. After spending 2 years as the Training Director, she decided to go back into private practice because she missed representing clients in the courtroom.
